The conclusion to all of this is one that even I did not want to think of until recently. But the Revolution will not be American. Not anymore. We have learned our lessons well.

Modern Americans are riddled with apathy. If you want to know how far it can go, think of the worst atrocities the Nazis committed and realize there were no crowds storming the gates of Auschwitz . Foreign, invading soldiers opened those gates. And so shall it be with us.

We can’t wake the sleeping giant. But someone, somewhere, can club it in the head. When the Empire is too big, too aggressive, too starved and internally paralyzed (vibrantly demonstrated by Katrina, thank you, Ma’am, for that performance), and it finally oversteps one border too many, China , India , and Europe will implement, shall we say, ‘corrective procedures.’

And if we’re ready, if we’ve planted our seeds and cultivated our memes strongly and deeply into the somnambulistic consciousness, the giant might just stumble a few bloody paces in the direction of liberty before slumping over the TV tray…..

The feature article of the June 2004 issue of "The Insider," published by The Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C., is one of dozens of articles written over the past twenty years or so by Roger Pilon of the Cato Institute urging Americans to educate themselves on how the Constitution supposedly limits government. Cato Institute staffers are known for carrying little pocket-sized copies of the Constitution around with them, presumably so that they will never miss a chance to prove to anyone who will listen that there is indeed a way of limiting government: enforce the Constitution.

But this whole enterprise of preaching about the Constitution, as conservatives and libertarians have been doing since at least the 1930s, is utterly futile. It has had no effect whatsoever, yet Cato, Heritage, and many other institutions continue to churn out essentially the same old arguments about how the Constitution can limit government.....

…Like the Democrats, the present Republican Party is unfit to lead our great nation.

As long as the Republican Party ignores Obama’s ineligibility for the Presidency and his crimes, both before and after illegally occupying the Oval Office, I will not vote Republican and endorse permanent political corruption in Washington, D.C.

Voting Republican will simply delay the inevitable. In my opinion, it is better to let Obama win and allow a flawed two-party system to collapse.

It is within the power of the American people to refuse to subsidize the continuation of political corruption.

It is within the power of patriotic Americans to reject an oppressive big government philosophy and rebuild our political system from the bottom up, as the Founding Fathers envisioned and as our Constitution so brilliantly articulates.

The 2012 election can augur an American Renaissance or proffer a pathway to perdition represented by the status quo.

It is time to cast our ballots for “none of the above” and take back our government……

On Wednesday, November 9th at 2 PM Eastern, the Obama Administration will seize control over all radio and TV broadcast communications, to conduct a “test” of the Emergency Broadcast System. Among the many inconsistencies with what’s playing out in the middle east is the question of what our President and Secretary of Defense would ask our own military to do if political protests, riots and violence erupted here in the US.
Both seem to suggest that the leaders of these middle eastern countries, as well as their law enforcement and military apparatuses, should stand aside.
Would the President of the United States, if faced with riots, molotov cocktails, and gun fire outside of the Capitol building or White House allow the military to “empower a revolution driven by unmet political and economic grievances” of the people?

Estimates suggest that Mubarak resigned amid as many as 2 million protesters in the streets. This is about 3% of Egypt’s population.

If the United States saw similar turnouts at Federal and State government buildings, would our leadership resign without a fight as well? Are we to believe that the same logic being used to compel dictators in the middle east to step down would be applied domestically if the people, in a public show of protest, deemed our government to be tyrannical and it’s leaders dictators?

Moreover, does this mean that any such civil disobedience, riots, and gunfire would be ignored by military and law enforcement, who would be ordered to, as Mr. Gates suggested to Syria, stand on the sidelines?

We’d like to believe it is that easy, except we live in a little place we like to call reality.

As a young unsaved man I was very much into the heavy metal scene, not just participating in the lifestyle and culture, but also in the playing of this music. A song that we use to play and listen to was a song by Iron Maiden called, “The Number of the Beast”. The intro of this song begins with a man with a very ire voice quoting Revelation 12:12, 13:18.

There is no Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. The Second Amendment simply tells us that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Unlike the First Amendment’s prohibition against Congress making laws abridging certain rights we hold dear, the Second Amendment is an outright prohibition on all branches of our federal government from infringing on our right to defend ourselves.

For a right to be infringed, it must already exist. The right to self-preservation is among the inalienable Jefferson spoke of in the Declaration of Independence. Without the right to defend life and liberty, those rights are devalued to academic dogma. The right to self-preservation, the right to defend life was not arbitrarily provided to us by fiat from a crown, a delegation of elected officials or a piece of parchment.

The right comes from God (or nature if you prefer). The mere fact that you breathe, the fact that you were given the gift of reason, providence dictates your right to flourish……

Republicans are fully intimidated by the Obama campaign and its supporters in the mainstream media with the certainty of being labeled and dismissed as “racists,” “birthers” and right-wing “conspiracy theorists” if they confront Obama regarding his violation of the Constitution and his felonies.

Republicans have also been intimidated by the threat of civil unrest instigated by the Obama campaign and executed by union thugs, left-wing radicals and Black Nationalist extremists.

In both cases, the Republicans have succumbed to political blackmail.

What goes unmentioned in the Republicans’ explanation is that, because of their complicity in the cover-up of Obama’s ineligibility and crimes, they are also vulnerable to political criticism and criminal prosecution.

The Republican strategy, therefore, is to challenge Obama on policy, educate the public and defeat him in the 2012 election.

Good luck with that approach, with the already anointed RINO candidate Mitt Romney and with a party platform of warmed-over platitudes and promises with post-election expiration dates.

In my opinion, regardless of who wins the Presidency in 2012, Obama’s ineligibility and his crimes will never be addressed. Both the Democrats and the Republicans have too much to lose.

In his 1850 Disquisition on Government, John C. Calhoun argued that a written constitution would never be sufficient to contain the plundering proclivities of a central government. Some mechanisms for assuring consensus among the citizens of the states regarding "federal" laws would be necessary. Consequently, Calhoun proposed giving citizens of the states veto power over federal laws that they believed were unconstitutional (the "concurrent majority"). He also championed the Jeffersonian idea of nullification. To Calhoun (and Jefferson), states' rights meant that the citizens of the states were sovereign over the central government that they created as their agent, and could only be so if such mechanisms — including the right of secession — existed.

Without these political mechanisms the forces of nationalism, mercantilism, and political plunder would relentlessly reshape the Constitution with their rhetoric, and their efforts would eventually overwhelm the strict constructionists. At that point the Constitution would become a dead letter.

In George Orwell’s iconic 1949 novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four, the ill-fated protagonist, Winston Smith, works for the so-called Ministry of Truth in which his job is to alter or re-write history as propaganda for the ruling party of Big Brother. Now, over sixty years later, we are seeing this very thing taking place in our own nation.

Over the weekend I received an email with a link to Leo Donofrio’s latest report. You may know that Mr. Donofrio is an attorney who has fought since 2008 to have Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) held accountable for proving his constitutional eligibility to hold the office of President of the United States. He challenges Obama’s eligibility on the grounds that if Obama’s father is who Obama claims, then his father was never an American citizen, so Obama was born with dual citizenship, thus Obama is ineligible to be President. So far Mr. Donofrio (and all others who have challenged Obama’s eligibility) has been shut out in every court.

Mr. Donofrio has discovered that in the run-up to the 2008 presidential election, references to a pertinent Supreme Court ruling which clearly defines “natural-born citizen” were scrubbed from 25 cases on the legal website Justia.com.

The agency intends to assert jurisdiction over our nation’s highways, waterways, and railroads as well. TSA launched a new campaign of random checkpoints on Tennessee highways last week, complete with a sinister military-style acronym--VIP(E)R – as a name for the program.

As with TSA’s random searches at airports, these roadside searches are not based on any actual suspicion of criminal activity or any factual evidence of wrongdoing whatsoever by those detained. They are, in effect, completely random. So first we are told by the U.S. Supreme Court that American citizens have no 4thamendment protections at border crossings, even when standing on U.S. soil. Now TSA takes the next logical step and simply detains and searches U.S. citizens at wholly internal checkpoints.

The slippery slope is here. When does it end? How many more infringements on our liberties, our property, and our basic human rights to travel freely will it take before people become fed up enough to demand respect from their government? When will we demand that the government heed obvious constitutional limitations, and stop treating ordinary Americans as criminal suspects in the absence of probable cause?

Although my byline is attached to this article, in all honesty I would have to give JB Williams the lion’s share of the credit for it—you might say that I’m simply echoing his sentiments. In any event, here are some further thoughts on the “Restore the Constitution” rally being held on 11/11/11 in Washington DC.

As conditions in America have worsened over the last few years, in particular since a man with no valid discernible past took up residence in our White House, I have heard the same question asked over and over again with increasing regularity, and dismay—“Where’s our military and law enforcement? Isn’t anyone who took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, going to do something?”

Amid an endless stream of conspiracy theories, a real conspiracy was underway, and well-founded concerns for the state of our union led to other questions—“why are our soldiers allegedly fighting for freedom and liberty abroad while we are being stripped of our freedom and liberty at home? And then, of course, there are all the liberal intellectuals, college professors, misguided idealists and pundits in the press who honestly believe government has a moral imperative to feed, clothe, house and educate everyone in need — with your money.

Don’t forget about the politicians who learned long ago that robbing Peter to pay Paul will always ensure them of Paul’s vote. Sadly, for the reasons I just enumerated, there are a lot more Pauls than there used to be; and there are a lot more politicians willing to pander to them, for the power and pelf they get as a result.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: L: I also have to give credit to George Washington, in spite of the major turn down the wrong road he took for the whole country when he suppressed the Whiskey Rebellion by force, because he could have set himself up as king after the first American Revolution — and he didn't.

Doug: He had the army, was very popular, and he could have done it — I agree, he could have made himself king, or been reelected until his death. But I can't forgive him for crushing the Whiskey Rebellion; that set the precedent for federal taxation and power that eventually led to the Civil War and the bloated monster in Washington that has now burst almost all of its chains.

L: So, who was the worst president?

Doug: That's a really tough question to answer, because there are so many deserving candidates for that title. A short list would have to include McKinley, Teddy Roosevelt, Wilson, Hoover, FDR, Truman, Johnson, Baby Bush, and Obama. But I'd have to say Lincoln was by far the worst. He plunged the country into a totally unnecessary and immensely devastating war, and violated every important part of the Constitution. But he was such a great rhetorician that he made Americans feel good about all the horrors he brought about, setting a doubly bad precedent.

So when I hear Herman Cain playing up the stereotypes of my grandparents' black speech for white audiences, I get offended. We whose families fought hard, over generations, to get a decent education for our children and their children shouldn't make light of the kind of language (tied to discrimination) we have worked to move past.

I stand by my claim that Cain's speech is like a form of minstrelsy. This is very different from President Obama, who some say speaks "black" when in front of all-black audiences. In Obama's case, the use of folksy speech tells his audience: "I am like you and I understand you." For Cain, the effect is the opposite: "I do not look like you and I am not a threat to you."

I am sorry, but if someone told me that one person said the word "cornbread" and another person called a black man a "minstrel," I know who I would call a racist. And it is not Herman Cain.

What is occurring right now via Google is shocking to many site webmasters. They are up in arms. They are now sliced from the major search engine on the worldwide Internet. One webmaster explained to me that his readers have diminished from thousands per day to mere hundreds per day because Google cut him out of their search engine.

And what was in the Google letter explaining why they did what they did? Google stated they had received complaints against the site because it posted “hate speech.” Now that which is truth is called “hate speech.” That which is Judeo-Christian moored is referred to as “hate speech.” Can Christians see clearly now what is ahead for their getting out the truth?

While typing this post, I wonder what sites will post it. There are sites that have heretofore been friendly to my submissions which now don’t post such articles as this one. I live in Uhrichsville. Within eight months’ time, my property was broken into three times.

After the second time, I had a security system installed.

At 2 a.m. on April 24, 2010, the alarm to the backyard barn went off. I armed myself and went to check it out. The barn door was wide open and a man was inside looking around with a flashlight. I yelled at him to come to me and he came at me with a tire iron in hand. He was less than 10 feet away when I fired a warning shot. He turned and ran; I fired more shots trying to get him to stop. At no time was I trying to hit him.

The police came, took the tire iron that he dropped and also took my gun. It’s been almost two years, and I still cannot get my gun back.

No charges were ever filed. I saw a lawyer and was told it would cost me $400 to file papers with the court for return of the gun.

The gun was registered and I have a permit to carry. I’m 68, never been in trouble. I fired in self-defense. Why are they keeping my gun?

Recently in New Philadelphia, a man fired three shots at a truck in town. The police took his gun and returned it the same day with a warning. What is going on in Uhrichsville?

Can someone please help me get my gun back?

Beck appeared on his old friend Bill O’Reilly’s program last week (view clip) and expounded upon his theory that the protests are not an organic uprising of disenchanted Americans, but a global movement with Marxist roots led by several revolutionary groups like the Service Employees Union and Working Families. These revolutionary groups are funded by George Soros and the whole thing is being orchestrated by America’s most famous community organiser, President Barack Obama.

O’Reilly gave Beck’s theory the benefit of the doubt, but Fox News ace reporter Geraldo Rivera, was less kind, saying Beck’s words were “harsh at best, paranoid or delusional at worst”. Beck did not take kindly to Geraldo’s insulting dismissal of his theory and accused him, in turn, of being a sheep.
